A supportive environment

• Since 1993 the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) dedicates 0.7% income to cooperation for development activities.
• Since 2007 the University Association for Cooperation (Aucoop) develops ICT development projects.
• Since 1997 the Internet Society Catalan chapter promotes Internet development activities in our community, and works with the Internet Society Foundation to fund an Internet for Everyone.
• Since 1993 Pangea promotes public internet services for an ethical Internet, and eReuse: Reuse electronic devices ensuring final recycling.
• Since 2004 Labdoo provides, free of charge, refurbished laptops loaded with child-friendly educational software in local languages to schools, orphanages, and refugee projects in low-income countries around the world.
• Since 2004 the guifi.net community network support network infrastructures as commons for the public good. (open, free, neutral).
